Flagged

If you are reading this then you have either been flagged, or are curious of the rules and regulations of the site. If you still feel as if you have been wrongfully flagged after reading this guide then please use this link: http://funnyjunk.com/moderation+complaints/ to file a complaint on the mod Note: Please put in admin as the username if you do not know who flagged you. If the complaint is valid then the image or comment will be unflagged. Keep in mind only a couple of mods handle complaints, so there is no guarantee that your image will be unflagged by the time your false ban ends. You will however be relieved of a stock and your ban time will not increase should you get flagged again. Ban time and stocks will be explained later on in this guide.

Types of Flags

The following is what mods are suppose to flag for: -NSFW -Borderline NSFW -Gore -Spam -Illegal

NSFW

NSFW is basically your typical porn. This should be obvious, but it will be explained anyway. If you posted boobs, dicks, or vaginas then it is consider NSFW. This also includes works of hentai, and rule 34. This does NOT include crude drawings or classical art. NSFW can also be flagged from the use of YouTube thumbnails even know they’re links. One more thing that should be stated is that NSFW is only allowed on the NSFW section of the site. Therefore it is not allowed on profiles, or profile uploaded pictures.

Borderline NSFW

Borderline NSFW is centered around sexual obscenity. Obscenity does not have a true definition as it constantly changes with culture, but most lawyers like to sum it down as “Offensive to the average person.” While “average” is a stretched out word it is how Borderline is handle. Borderline NSFW includes girls tits through shirts, dildos that look like dicks, fleshlights that look like vaginas, cameltoes, crude drawings such as Dickbutt, and suggestive nudity to a point where it isn't porn, but roughly close to it. Repeated posting of Borderline NSFW will result in flagging one of your comments as NSFW to provide ban time as punishment. Once again ban time will be explained later on.

Gore

Gore is something overly disgusting and is also subjected to obscenity. One thing that should be pointed out in this flag is that gore is not pain. Someone getting hanged or crashing their car is not gore because it is not disgusting. What is considered gore is brutal images such as people being shot in the face, chickens going through a meat grinder, blown off limbs, or anything else super disgusting such as immense amount of fecal matter. Fake gore does not get flagged, such as movie gore, or anime gore. It also does not get flagged in the NSFW section.

Spam

Spam is repeated posting of the same comment or picture, as well as links used for advertisement. Mods are more lenient on child comments (replies to another comment) that are the same thing over and over. Spam also includes repeated rolling of users, and mentioning a bunch of users at once with no real context. Mentioning users when its relevant (such as a content that is themed around mentions) is fine as long as it doesn't go out of hand. Affiliate / Money begging links are not allowed and are considered spam. This includes any and all links to sites such as gofundme, indegogo, and similar sites. Mods do not care about your roommate's boss's mother's best friend's sick cousin.

Illegal

Illegal is pretty much child pornagraphy, and while it is controversial, Lolicon hentai. While Lolicon may not truly be illegal, it is treated as on FJ. Keep that stuff in the booru sites.

Ban Times

Every time you get flagged your ban time doubles. In other words if you got banned for thirty minutes for posting porn, then the next time you get flagged for posting porn it will be for an hour. You get a stock each time you get flagged, and that stock is used to determined your next ban time. Borderline NSFW is the only flag that does not give you a ban time, but it still gives you a stock. In other words if you went on a streak posting Borderline NSFW, then when you get flagged for NSFW it will be a longer time than you expected. And again borderline flags are subjected to be flagged as NSFW for multiple posting of borderline NSFW. Exception to this are Illegal flags, which give you a lifetime ban.
